Q: What do you love about photographing weddings
A: There is magic in the air on a wedding day. It’s the one day in your whole life when all the people you love will come from all over and gather to celebrate you and your love for one another. I remember every detail of my wedding day, from waking up and hanging out with the boys, to grabbing cheeseburgers from McDonald's for my wife at 3:00am (you'll probably forget to eat too!) It’s awesome to see our couples’ stories and personalities shine through how they choose to celebrate and even decorate. It’s different every time and it’s never boring.
Q: How long have you been doing what you do? How did you become a photographer?
A: A camera has been in my life for as long as I can remember (my mother bought me my first SLR when I was in elementary school.) After years of being just a hobby, I decided to make a career out of photography. I shadowed one of my mentors at about thirty weddings in Windsor and London until I felt confident enough to shoot my own. Since then, I have grown my business to include two other full time employees!
Q: How many images will I get?
A: Depending on the package you choose, you will receive up to 1,200 images on a USB drive in a customized wooden box for your safe keeping.
Q: Do you help us with creating our schedule?
A: Weddings and timelines are super important, It’s like the clock is always ticking. With Element Photography, I don’t just deliver spectacular wedding photos that couples love – I follow through every step of the way. I respect your schedules by being on time (every time) and working within your timeframes. Moreover, I go over every aspect of your timeline and help guide you through planning out the appropriate allocation of time for photos and events.
Q: How long after our wedding until we get our photos?
A: During peak wedding season photos are delivered approximately 3 - 6 months from your wedding date. After your wedding, I carefully edit each and every shot with loads of love and attention to detail. I have high standards. Don’t worry though, I won’t hold your photographs hostage! I know what it feels like to wait for something like this, your photographs are delivered to you and also backed up in cloud storage for 2 years.
Q: Do you have a second shooter and/or an assistant?
A: I regularly photograph weddings with a second photographer from our team. They are able to capture scenes from different vantage points and can nicely supplement the photos I take. I work only with photographers who I have worked with on many different jobs, this insures that our communication is flawless and that we work as a team.
Q: Do you shoot engagement portraits?
A: Yes! Engagement sessions are a great way for us to get to know each other, offer you a chance to see how I work and let you get comfortable in front of the camera. I highly recommend them!
Q: How do I book my wedding date?
A: Please contact me (zack@elementphotography.ca or call 519-567-9225) to see if I am available for your wedding date. In order to maintain the highest quality and insure that every bride and groom receive the same level of attention, I only book a limited number of weddings every year. A 50% non-refundable deposit as well as a signed agreement are required to secure your wedding date and time. Once these things are done you are officially booked!
